City of Angels

One of my all-time favorite movies is The City of Angels. Nicolas Cage played an angel who fell in love with a mortal played by Meg Ryan. It was one of those movies where the sad ending was justified. And it would disappoint if it ended otherwise.
I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss from her mouth, one touch of her hand, than an eternity without it.

Odd, the plot for the movie. Sounds like a creepy thing to make a movie about. The Bible talks about angels mating with mortal women, and they were punished.

That is precisely the reason why I said I wouldn’t want the ending any other way. Because in the end, they were punished as well. Love is something that you don’t steal from Him.
