There are so many places to add to our support pool outside of family. One of the best ways to add friends is through service and volunteer work.
I moved away from my biological family 3 years ago so I have been forced to get out of my comfort zone. My volunteer work with the SPCA fills my heart and has brought me a new family.
I make a point of knowing and being of service to my neighbors. Nothing better than making a great friend that is just a few footsteps away.
Friendships, relationships take time. They are our greatest investment with the highest return.
