Ah, love.

Love is the great miracle cure. Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives.
- Louise Hay

Some people mistake love as giving everything in them. Sacrificing everything. Not leaving even a scrap for themselves. Do you know that that is the wrong kind of love? Love should be that you love yourself enough first so that you have more than enough to give to others. It is about self-preservation. It is about letting others love us for who we are, not for what we sacrificed for them.

Ah, love. It is so complicated and has many facets.

Stressed out

There are days when I feel like I am so stressed out even when I am working at home already. There are just too many demands on me. Friends suggested being away even for a few days. Caribbean villa rentals sound just about heavenly right now. I guess I really need to be away. A friend is inviting me to go on a roadtrip to the North. I just might say yes now.

My old friend's birthday

It was my friend’s birthday yesterday. On the eve of her birthday, she had dinner with me and my family. I love the shawarma that she brought so much! It came from a local restaurant that she frequents. We have been friends since 1992. It’s been 16 years now! I first met her in second year high, she was a transferee. That time, I remember, I thought she needed an acne cure badly. Looking at her the other night, you wouldn’t see any trace of that acne anymore. She has become a lovely lady and I sincerely hope that she finds her prince charming soon.

Optimistic

It is sad what is happening in the US businesses right now. The financial crisis is not only affecting Americans, but the locals as well. Thank goodness the fuel and gas prices are now improving thus minimizing the impact of the financial crisis worldwide. We are all worried, especially now that big financial companies like Lehman Brothers are filing for bankruptcy.

Locally, there are still so many businesses that are opening, braving the state of the economy. In fact, a friend of mine is looking for a supplier for his digital signage. At least, there’s hope. And some are still optimistic despite everything.

Is life passing you by?

Often we allow life to pass us by, because we forget what life really is.

We are constantly thinking. We have something like sixty thousand thoughts per day. Our thoughts are mostly concerned with the past and the future. How often do you think of the moment your in right now and nothing else? This very moment is what you life is, everything else is just a picture in your mind.

In order to be alive you have to Be Here Now!

You’ve experienced the feeling of being here now, you’ve been there many times in your life. It’s the feeling of being in the moment, where past and future seize to exist and all your worries are gone. You forget who you are, it doesn’t matter. You are just here now.

Being Here Now is a feeling of complete joy!

If you wish to be happy in life, you must learn experience as many moments as possible, each moment fully experienced will bring more and more happiness in to your life.

Medical devices and diagnostics

My grandma has diabetes. I know that eventually, she would be needing insulin. Yes, we can all hope that she won’t need it but there is that possibility. I was checking out diabetic products from JnJ.com and found not just that but medical diagnostics products as well. I always make sure that I anticipate her medical needs. If I think that a blood pressure equipment would be of benefit to have on hand, I buy that one. I actually bought one for her and we’ve been using that to monitor her blood pressure. The same goes for other incontinence products.

JnJ.com has almost every product for every sickness you can think of. They have medical devices and diagnostics. If you are looking for one, just go to JnJ.com and you will find one there.

Lacking the juice

I am lacking the juice again. There are really days when my brain is parched and I can’t seem to get enough water to make it fertile once more. It feels like I am wallowing in a sea of mud and I can’t get out of it. Dramatic but I tend to be this way when I can’t think of something to write about. So for now, I will stick to the basics. I am now off to read some Dallas resumes and then I will be posting some quotes that I really like and something about my best friend’s predicament.

Rainy days and Tuesdays…

No, it doesn’t make me cry but it makes me sooo sleepy! It rained this afternoon and the weather got cooler. I love it! I just had my power nap and I am ready to tackle any task head on. Come on, give it to me!

I went out alone today to run some errands. You know what I love about traveling alone? It is the freedom to do things at your own pace and not have to worry about your companion. I went out for a little over two hours. It was quick and I was able to find peace and quiet being alone aboard the vehicle.

I love Tuesdays. This is the day I usually go out to run errands or just to be by myself. Tuesday is my ME time.

How about you? :)
