I Got Awards!!!

Tita Liza was very kind to give me these 2 awards. Thank you, tita!

“This blog invests and believes, in ‘proximity’ [meaning, that blogging makes us ‘close’ - being close through proxy]. These blogs are all charming and they aim to show the marvels of friendship. Let’s give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to eight bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.”

I will post my awardees in a while. Thank you again, tita!

Great morning for a walk

It was a lovely day today, even if it is raining a bit. I love that the weather is more cooler than it was a week ago. This morning was a lovely time to walk around the neighborhood. I went to the bank to pay my grandma’s home insurance and I was able to walk leisurely because the sun was hiding behind the clouds. Great morning all in all!

Achy heels

My sister always complains about her aching heels after walking for at least 30 minutes. I am thinking she might have Plantar Fasciitis but I also think it might have something to do with her being overweight. Maybe her upper body is so much more heavier and her legs, her feet are taking the brunt of her weight when walking. I also feel this way when I walk for a period of time without rest.

Some love quotes for you

If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things that are missing. If you don’t have love in your life, no matter what else there is, it’s not enough.
- Ann Landers

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
- Thomas Merton

If you aren’t good at loving yourself, you will have a difficult time loving anyone, since you’ll resent the time and energy you give another person that you aren’t even giving to yourself.
- Barbara de Angelis

You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have really lived are the moments when you have done things in a spirit of love.
- Henry Drummond

Real love is feeling like being a part of that persons life almost isn’t enough. It’s more like a feeling that you would live in the same skin with them if you could and share every thought, heart beat, and emotion as one.
- Rod Cannon

Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your gold and good health has vanished.
- Og Mandino

As you continue to send out love, the energy returns to you in a regenerating spiral… As love accumulates, it keeps your system in balance and harmony. Love is the tool, and more love is the end product.
- Sara Paddison

Car allowance

Car allowance is one of the benefits my best friend is asking from the company hiring him. He will be occupying an executive position so naturally, a car allowance or a car plan should be included in his annual package. I am not sure if he got it but when we talked a few days ago, I was impressed with the basic salary offer that he got. The perks or benefits to be included in the package are still being negotiated with him. He would be getting an executive healthcare package, a house allowance (although my friend told me he could forego that in lieu of a higher car plan package) and other perks normally given to executives.

I reminded him that he should ask for days off to be with his wife who is in a different city. They only see each other on weekends and my friend misses his wife terribly. But since both of them have to work, they have to sacrifice a little bit more so they can save enough money and be together already. Good thing I reminded him that and he will include a three-day off at the middle of the month, so he could spend more time with his wife.
