I received a surprising call yesterday. It was from a vendor I dealt with in one of the previous companies I’ve worked for. It was about an unclaimed rubber stamp that I had made back in 2006. It was really weird because they were closing shop for good due to the recession. And one of the things they are doing right now is calling up clients who have unclaimed items with them.

I referred them to the office and hopefully that will resolve it. But what’s weird is that, I couldn’t remember having ever asked for a rubber stamp of “DONE” being made!

Maybe it’s because this is a payday weekend once again but there are so many people I know who are planning on spending time at rv parks this weekend. In our case, my family is opting to stay at home for the weekend because by the next one, we will be visiting my mom’s and brother’s grave. Save some money this way.

The song Power of Two by Indigo Girls is about the love between two women. When I was in high school, the first time I heard this song, I instantly fell in love with it. Admittedly, I thought the song was about two people, boy and girl, who are in love with each other, promising to be with the other until forever. When I realized that the song was actually sung by two gay women and was meant for each other, I thought, why not?

I must admit I was prejudiced to the kind of love people share. I was brought up that way. But then, growing up, being exposed to so many things in life, being friends with gay people as well, your eyes are opened up and my mind more willing to accept that there are different kinds of love out there. We are all equal when it comes to love and we should respect that.

It was sad that someone I know had to leave a place she has grown to love over the years. All because she and her live-in partner separated ways a few weeks ago. But to actually go back to him, welcome him with open arms after almost killing you…

I wonder where the membership card I got was made. It looked so much like my VISA card and so professionally made! My boss will really like this one. I am thinking of the next company event and how we can use the same card to spice up the event. I was once a part of the company’s event committee before my promotion.
