His voice

I had this co-worker who was not handsome but looks like a very intelligent person. When he speaks, he exudes confidence. He is smart and very witty. I loved hearing his voice when he comes to our department. I didn’t speak to him directly everytime but just hearing him talk to any one from the department was enough for me.

There was this seminar where he’s the speaker and all managers were required to attend. Before the seminar, he kept playing John Legend’s Ordinary People. Love that song! Now, whenever I hear it, only one person comes to mind.

Him.

French or Spanish…

I have always wanted to learn how to speak the French or Spanish language. The thing is, enrolling in schools or language centers or buying those audio tapes can cost you an arm and leg here in this country. If you really want to learn any language other than English, you have to take it up in college at certain universities here.

I wish I could have taken Spanish as an elective back in college. It was being offered the year before I entered college but I was told that I could cross-enroll should I really feel the need to take it up. I lost interest because of the hassle it would bring me so I didn’t push through with it.

I wish I pursued it. Hay.

Sustenance

chocos

There was a period in my life that I thrived on eating chocolates. I couldn’t get on with my day without a bite of any chocolate bar I could get my hands on. And then the high I would get out of it would sustain me for the rest of the day.

This happened particularly when I was still with this worse company I’ve been employed at. It was imperative that I eat chocolates or else…

Getting to know each other

This song reminds me of a college friend who was then going steady with a guy for four years already when she started falling in love with a classmate…

They would sneak glances at each other. Smile those sweet smiles only lovers reserve for each other. Would even look at each other like a moth to a flame.

And then the tables were reversed. She found out that her boyfriend of four years was openly flirting with a classmate who didn’t mind sharing him with her. She created a massive fight against the woman and realized belatedly that she almost cheated on her boyfriend as well!

The budding romance was cut short. She avoided our classmate like the plague and never spoke to him again.

My bathroom, my sanctuary

Our bathrooms are our sanctuaries. For most women, those I know personally, this holds true. For some reason, I can think clearly when I’m in the bathroom. I can sort things out, especially the tumble of emotions and ideas. I can stop worrying even for a few minutes. I can even belt out my favorite songs in the bathroom, regardless if I can only croak like a frog in there!

That’s why my bathroom is one of the rooms at home that I really lavish on. I buy quality made products for it. I make sure that it is cleaned at least twice a day. I make sure that the rugs in it are soft and clean. Now, the other bathroom near the dining room is being renovated. I want that one as peaceful and soothing to the eyes as the one in my bedroom. I will be buying bathroom tiles, furniture, taps, shower, and lighting for it. A friend suggested that I check out Better Bathrooms since they are on a stock clearance sale right now. Up to 55% off the RRP are being offered to everyone who needs it. Go check out betterbathrooms.com now and grab anything for the bathroom in there while stocks are still available.

Calm and quiet of the garden

Everyone who is close to me knows that I value quiet moments now more than ever. I get so little sleep every night. You know how your head pounds when you lack sleep? That happens to me 7 days a week! So I really value the calm and quiet of the surroundings a lot. My family knows about it.

This is probably the reason why I love hanging out at the mini garden at home in the early morning and evening. It is quiet there and you can just close your eyes and feel your body relaxing, your mind emptying of so many things in it. To show my appreciation to the garden that’s giving me such peace in body and mind, I make it a point to have it landscaped once every quarter. New plants, new arrangement. And I love the result each and every time.

If you are looking for boston landscaping services, go to SLDA Landscape Design. They offer professional landscaping services which will make you open your eyes to the wonders at your very own lawn and garden. Believe me, you will love your place more after a landscape artist touches it.

Go and visit SLDA.biz now for more information.

What might have been

I am currently listening to one of my favorite songs of all time… Take It Away by Lou Pardini. I love Lou’s voice! Almost all his songs I know by heart. Once upon a time, I lived each day with What Might Have Been

Someone I know broke up with her boyfriend of four years. The only reason was that they were drifting apart and since they both didn’t want things to end badly for them, they decided to end their relationship on their own terms, when they felt like they were still happy with each other. Bitterness was something they didn’t want to creep in their hearts. And I salute them for doing it.

But years later, when they met again and the guy was already engaged, they realized how much they still love each other. There were so many what might have beens in their minds and hearts. What might have happened had they held on and worked things out. What might have been if they decided to meet earlier, not when he’s already engaged to someone else…

The guy ended up not marrying the one he’s engaged to. He just had so powerful feelings for the one he broke up with and he just couldn’t fool himself into believing he can finally forget her.

A year passed and guess what? They ended up meeting once again, talking things out. They agreed to give their relationship another go.

They have been married for eight years now. Blessed with two kids. Happier than ever.

I wish I could have had the same ending…

Great travel deals

I am lucky enough to be given the choice of great travel deals before any of the ones in the office. I have been telling my co-workers about how I am praying to get a good deal so I can travel. It will be my birthday very soon so you can bet I am extremely happy with the travel deals I was given a choice of!

Nothing luxurious for me. Just the chance to explore a place I would love to know more about. Not too much to ask, right?
