There’s this guy I know who left everything to follow the mother of his child to the US. He left his life, his family, everything to be with her! He didn’t even think about what would happen to him abroad. He just left his life here in the Philippines. All for love.

It would have been great to end that paragraph with a happy ending. Alas, they didn’t end up together after all. The guy drifted. He was lucky he got an amnesty because he became an illegal immigrant for a time. He couldn’t get a job. He couldn’t follow the girl and his child when they relocated to another state. I am glad to tell you that he is fine now. He is slowly recovering from the bad experience. He is friends with the mother of his child and he sees his daughter from time to time. He is now a legal immigrant of the state he is in. He has a job. And he thinks he found the girl he wants to be with.

He traded everything for love but all is not lost.
