They had a fight, their first one since they became a couple over a year ago. He forgot about an appointment they made with a relative of hers and of course, she got mad at him. It was due to work, he got stuck in a meeting, and he forgot to call her up.

He bought her a blackberry curve as a peace offering. She’s been complaining about her old phone and he is really planning on getting her one for her birthday. But he now thinks that this is the best time to give her the gift. He doesn’t want her mad at him and he’ll do his best to make amends.

Danny really needs a data backup solution. Something to save his countless data in his server. He operates a hosting business, just a small one for start-up businesses. Since he is also just starting out, he is still learning everything and getting some stuff that he needs.

His server almost broke down last month. He was so scared of losing all the data contained therein that he panicked and called up friends who could help him. Good thing the computer was not broken and he was able to continue on with his business. But now he doesn’t want a repeat of that panic. He is getting a data backup solution for his peace of mind.

She doesn’t like men who smoke because she’s afraid of cancer and other lung diseases she might get. But she’s really in love with her man and he with her so they compromised. He still smokes but only an ecigarette and once a day!

In love compromise should be the name of the game. It should be give and take. If only one is giving and the other one taking, then it ceases to be love but becomes a brittle relationship.

I need some alone time. Possibly in a place with pristine blue waters and fine sands. In Maldives. Or somewhere in Bora Bora. Or it can be in a nice hotel somewhere in the city. I think all of us need some time alone to be by ourselves. A time when we can hear ourselves think and process thoughts.

That’s what I need now.

Helping out a friend is something I do without asking anything in return. Or even thinking about getting one in return, which I know a lot of “kind” people have in mind while helping others out. A friend of mine asked me to help her with the installation of her new Franke sinks. No, we wouldn’t be installing it ourselves but she wanted to have someone monitoring the installation other than herself.

So I dropped by her house to help monitor the installation. She treated me to a dinner of pasta that she cooked herself as a way of saying thank you.

There are medical and healthcare jobs that Lori is looking at. She is in the same field and is currently looking for a new job, a weekend job if she can find one. She needs the extra income because she has so many plans she wants to put in place as soon as she can. Money is what she needs so she is doing something about it.

Minnie’s home is being renovated. Her parents want their place to have a resort-like feel. Their backyard is being remodeled and there will be new outdoor lighting installed. The family uses the backyard a lot where they entertain family and friends. They are having a barbecue grill area put in place and an outdoor fireplace as well.

After the renovation, their backyard will be a place conducive to hanging out and entertaining people for sure. Minnie can’t wait for the renovation to finish. She can’t wait to have friends over!

If you are in love, you can twist any scenario to favor your current apple of the eye. I know because I’ve been there. No matter how negative the issue is, you can always find something to make your partner look good in the eyes of every one concerned about you. You find excuse after excuse to throw them off the negative issue.

I’ve been there. Someone I fell in love with was bad news. I think I knew it already but as I’ve said, I was twisting scenarios so he would emerge as a good thing for me and I could stay in my heaven with him. It was bad.

I just have to thank the good fates for knocking some sense into me. Love is heaven if it’s pure and good. Not if you are just twisting it to suit you.

Digna is a freelance interior decorator. She charges lower than others but is as good as the big ones who do celebrity homes. That’s why she has a lot of clients and her waiting list is truly a long list! Now, if only she can remind herself to buy an organizer, she is better off!
