Sometimes we think so little of ourselves we are being offered love but we are rejecting it because of the low self-esteem we have. We may not see ourselves as the most beautiful person in the planet but for someone we are that and then some. For someone, we are a rockstar! We are someone else’s world!

If we are being offered love, we should learn to open our hearts and accept it for what it is. Enjoy the moment and savor the love being given to us.

I am going back and forth on this trip that my friends and I are planning. We already booked our flights and we already have an itinerary ready. But I am also planning to slim down a bit as the trip will entail a lot of walking around the city we are planning to go to. I am not too sure I can do a lot of walking as I am clearly overweight and in need of appetite suppressants to be able to shed off even just a pound or two.

I want to go but a part of me is dreading that I won’t be able to keep up with my friends. And one of my friends is bringing her boyfriend with him! Double the dread!

Remember from my previous post I talked about a dating site that my girl friends and I are planning to open very soon? It is a GO! We are buying three desktop computers for the three persons always manning the site. One of those desktop computers will be given to me as I am the one almost always online of all of us. The two will sit in Mitzi’s flat as she’s the one accessible anytime. She’s alone in her flat so even if we knock at her door in the middle of the night or at three in the morning, no one will get mad at us but her.

The dating site is a GO and we are excited about it!

My girl friends and I are all hopeless romantics. We love reading and discussing about romance. I can safely say that all four of us have become experts in relationships over the years. My friend who lives in a very cold place relies heavily on snow chains when she goes out of the house. The place is cold almost the whole year round and snow can be as thick as waist deep at times. Good thing there are snow cleaners the local community employs to help with the situation.

Truth be told I cannot imagine myself living in a very cold place. I am from the tropics so I am used to the warmth of the sun more than the cold. And when it gets cold, it’s not that cold at all.

I think I will get aches and pains and cramps if I live where my friend does.

Language… has created the word “loneliness” to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word “solitude” to express the glory of being alone.

Are you lonely or plain solitary?

I would like to believe I belong to the second category. I am alone but not lonely. Sure, there are days when I feel I need something more in life but it’s far and few between. And I don’t dwell on it for too long. I am not bitter about life either.
