A display of weight loss products was in front of me when I went to the mall’s pharmacy the other day. I was there to buy something else but when I saw the display in front of me, it distracted me from my real purpose and started asking the pharmacist about each product. Suffice it to say that I ended up not buying what I was there for.

I will go back there next week. I will buy the one I was most interested in. I just read the reviews and I know it will fit my lifestyle and will serve the purpose I have in mind.

One of my girl friends is going to be on a photo shoot for a clothing line soon. She is preparing for it by working out three hours a day and really toning her muscles. She also asked her trainer for an ab workout because she wants to tone her abs even more. She is really excited with the gig because it will signal her ascent in the modeling world.

Opportunities come only once. So if it comes knocking, open not only your door but all the windows as well. That’s what my girl friend is doing right now.

I am a huge fan of True Blood. If you don’t know about it, it’s a cable show in HBO about a small town in Louisiana called Bon Temps where humans and vampires mingle. The main character, Sookie Stackhouse, became involved with a vampire named Bill Compton and there begins the series. It is actually based on books by Charlaine Harris which also has Sookie Stackhouse as the main character.

If you’ve been watching the show, you know that it is raunchy. It has nude scenes, sex scenes and obscenities and profanities are flying here and there in the series. I think that’s what makes it successful. The series has been enjoying tremendous success and is now on its 3rd season.

I remember watching an interview of Anna Paquin (Sookie) and Stephen Moyer (Vampire Bill) where they said that nudity and sex scenes are pretty much normal to them on set. The stars of the show are very much willing to do what the story asks of them. Good thing they are all professional.

I am excited for True Blood Season 3. In fact, I just watched the first episode last night. And I loved it! Did you watch the show? Are you a fan like me?

She was envious of her friend who can wear really short shorts going anywhere. She also wants to wear the same attire of woman’s sando and short shorts. But she’s a bit overweight. So she will go out now and buy the best fat burner she can find. She is really obsessed in that attire and will lose weight fast so she can wear it when she goes out of town for a trip.

Girl will surely achieve what she wants because knowing her, she will find a way to lose that excess fast to look good in her short shorts!

Uncle Sam is a great golfer. He used to compete in the nationals but then when he suffered a stroke a year ago, he slowed down. He is now playing occasionally with friends. As a memento of the games he played, he kept the used golf balls in a big clear box at home. The box is now measuring six feet tall. He just started collecting the used golf balls four years ago. I think if he started from the day he began playing, his house will be filled with it by now.

Too bad he can’t compete anymore. He would have been really, really great.

The subject of weight loss always comes up whenever Dina and her twin sister Lora discusses their careers that were put on hold. They were aspiring models. Three years ago, Dina got into an accident and was told to recuperate for three months. In those three months, she gained a lot of weight due to the medicines she took, plus the fact that she really binge on food out of boredom. Since they were modeling in pair, Lora was sidelined, too. Let’s just say Lora didn’t let Dina take all the food served to them by their mom daily…

I just read that Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers broke up with Demi Lovato. He initiated the break up! And he asked his dad to tell Demi about it! Wow!

I don’t know what is it with guys. They woo you and act crazy if you ignore them. But once you give them your whole attention, they start acting like they’re suffocated with the treatment.

Men love the chase, they said. I do believe that. I think they love the challenge of winning a woman’s affection and when they finally get it, they lose interest. The chase is done. The challenge is not there anymore. When they see someone who poses a challenge to them, they move on.

I am going to buy my office supplies when we go shopping for school supplies for the little girl at home. She will be a Nursery in the coming school year. We are going to buy her a school bag, notebooks, and other supplies that she will need. At the same time, I will also buy some office supplies I need for my home office.

We might go this coming Tuesday so there will be less people in the mall.

I was laughing so hard when I opened my friend Reggie’s personal refrigerator. It is full of his weight loss drinks! I didn’t know he was serious when he told me that he will really start losing weight. He wants to be a model. In fact, he is working out right now to achieve that dream. He feels a bit chubby so he wants to lose weight, too.

I admire the man. He is already 30 and yet he thinks like he is new to adulthood. I wish I can think the same way.

He will send tulips to his wife. Sometimes, it takes a tragedy for people to realize the importance of those around them. We often take the people around us for granted. Admit it, you often pass by your parents when going out of the house. But when you hear a sad news about a tragic ending to a happy life, you suddenly realize that you need to appreciate the people around you more.

When he heard about what happened to his friend’s wife, giving birth then dying due to bleeding, he immediately thought of his wife. He was reminded of the number of times he let his wife wait for him and then would just brush it off upon arriving home. Or the number of times he failed to say thank you or sorry to her. He immediately sent her flowers telling her how much he loves her and appreciates her for everything that she does for him and their kids.

She loved it and cried when she read the message. A simple gesture like sending flowers would mean a lot to the person you love.
