Dani will get two Compacc.com shoei helmets for her and her boyfriend Tony. Both are motorbike riders. Both are daredevils who used to ride their bikes without helmets on. But when one of their friends met an accident a month ago, they realized it’s a wake up call for both of them. They need to start addressing their safety when riding their bikes. They need to make sure that they are safe more than anything else.

The helmets are just the beginning. While Dani will get the helmets, Tony already ordered custom jackets and gloves for both of them. He also already bought knee pads they can use under their pants.

Better safe than sorry. They now know the meaning of it.

Even if she doesn’t have enough the past few months, she really saved up for the auto rims that she knows her boyfriend wants. She stopped taking coffee breaks to save the money she would have spent on snacks. She stopped going out to meet friends even for lunch or dinner. She really sacrificed just so she could have enough to buy a gift for him.

I think when we are in love, we tend to sacrifice our own happiness just so we can see our partner happy. I’ve been there so I know.

Some people are not meant to be together. They fall in love, face one hurdle after another, and then however they fight for their love they still end up apart. It happened to some people I know. It happened to me. It will happen again to a lot of couples out there.

It’s just the way love goes. I would like to think that there really is someone out there for each of us, just waiting in the offing, waiting for us to open our hearts to their presence.

Sometimes it is best to use the brains more than the heart when it comes to love. You know what the elders say? Love won’t keep you warm in the cold of the night or fed when there’s no more food on the table. That’s what they tell us when they see us head over heels in love with someone who has clearly no ambition in life. But since love can make us all go blind, we scoff at their wise words and opt to listen more to our hearts than to reason.

This girl who got tangled with a relative is now suffering alongside her daughter. She didn’t listen to her mother and older siblings advising her against being with that relative. I am honest enough to say that the relative has no plans of ever working for his daughter. He is dependent on his mom even at 20, and with a family of his own. There are other relatives helping him get work but he goes through the motion of applying and training and that’s it! He will give one excuse after another and before everyone knows it, he’s back to his old ways. Staying up late playing computer games and waking up midday to look for food for himself.

So where did love lead the girl? To a miserable life burdened with a common law spouse who doesn’t want to work and a daughter who will surely suffer as she grows older.

Sometimes it really pays to listen to those who are already wise beyond their years.

Mary is walking down the aisle. She is marrying the man of her dreams! Then you and I got to be alone. And you came to me. Our flirtatious ways were deepening. We shared a moment alone, and I felt you close to my heart. Now every day when I hear the sound of your voice, my heart does that “jump” and beats a little faster.

I’ve fallen in love with you, but you are not mine to fall in love with. And we both have realized this, so we keep a safe distance.

His family, in turn, loves and adores him a lot. His wife is raving about what a wonderful husband he is. His children are telling friends and everyone they know what a great father he is to them. They feel protected and loved by him that’s why they rave about him to everyone who would listen.

Briggs is ordering restaurant furniture today. He is ready to take a leap of faith and pursue his lifelong dream. Come what may. What’s important to him is that his wife is supporting him 100%. He quit his corporate job after consulting with his wife. Their twins are now 16 years old and he and his wife already set aside a trust fund for their education. The money he will be using to open his restaurant will come from a combination of his savings and a bank loan.

He is not getting any younger and he thought if not now, when would he have time to pursue his dream? Now is the time then!
