Young love

Young Love

Young love always feel like it will never end. We have been there once upon a time. I know a lot of you out there are in it now. And the feeling is incomparable! It is exhilarating, exciting, and everything positive! You carry this feeling that you can conquer any obstacle that comes your way!

But it isn’t always a bed of roses. Love can also bring you pain. It can hurt you real bad if you don’t watch out. You can’t always use your heart and just float in the clouds. You also have to open your eyes real wide and use your head when traversing the red-colored road of young love.

Love is better dealt with an open mind and a soft heart. That’s reality.

Helping the elderly and the disabled

A couple of years ago, one of our neighbors couldn’t find a job. It’s always no vacancy or that she wasn’t qualified for the job. A relative of hers back then needed someone to help her process her disability insurance. Because she was free, she took time out from her job hunting and devoted her time instead in helping her relative get the disability benefits she badly needed.

And then another relative asked for her help. Like the first one, she was given a minimal amount for the help. A neighbor asked for her help, too, and this time around, she really made it a business deal. She asked for a minimal amount in exchange for the help. Another neighbor came to her for help and another one and another one. The rest is history. She’s been in the business of helping the elderly and the disabled get the benefits due them. No, she doesn’t charge a high price for the help. She actually charges very minimal fee just to cover out of pocket expenses and a few bucks of profit. Anyway, when she aggregates all the bucks she gets in a year, it still sums up to a tidy profit for her.

Romantic setting

romantic-victorian-bedroom

Lani made sure her house looked romantic the moment he stepped in. From the foyer to the bedroom, every little detail was painstakingly followed by her interior designer. She worked it out with the designer and really let her imagination go wild. She even added a chandelier in her foyer for the Victorian romantic feel.

Lani is spicing up her married life so that she and her husband won’t get bored with each other in the bedroom and out of it. You can’t blame the woman for going all out to keep her man interested.

Zip it!

The zipper won’t zip! And all because she binged on food for the past two days. She’s attending an important corporate event and the attire she chose weeks ago was a little black dress that she wore to their company’s Christmas party two years ago. When she tried it on weeks ago, it was snug but just about right. When she tried it on just now, it won’t zip anymore!

She can go to the mall and buy another dress to wear. Anyway, she still has ten days before the big event. Or she can employ the help of Lipofuze and see if she can shed off the two pounds she gained over the past two days.

Personal assistant?!

I accompanied a friend of mine get her iphone accessories from a store she had it reserved. I thought it was the only thing in our agenda for that day but it turned out she had hundreds of things to finish and she wanted me to be with her as she finished one task after another.

I was enjoying it the first three hours. After that, I started getting annoyed. Had I known I would just become a personal assistant for the day, I would have declined to accompany her or I would have negotiated a good deal. We ended everything by midnight, after close to 14 hours! It was a really tiring day. I had a massive headache by the time I hit the sack.

Our beloved Rob/Edward

Rob Pattinson

I think when the character Edward Cullen surfaced, a lot of guys became insecure. I mean, where do we start with the list of all good Edward is? Edward is a gentleman. The only one left of his kind. He is one of the good guys, albeit a dangerous one when protecting his love. Edward is also a paragon of virtue! He is beautifully handsome, extraordinarily strong, and devastatingly sexy! Can a woman ask for anything more?

Admittedly, he is a fictitious character. Born out of Stephenie Meyer‘s mind. Still, women, including me, fell madly in love with the character! More so when the Twilight Saga books were turned into movies!

And then there came Robert Pattinson. I don’t think any other man could have given life to our beloved Edward Cullen. He is as devastatingly handsome and sexy as the character we fell in love with! The eyes, the hair, the smile, the brooding looks… everything is just so perfect. We now have someone to ogle while thinking of Edward.

I think men became even more insecure when Rob was introduced. Too bad for them. We really love our Rob Pattinson aka Edward Cullen!

Favorite love stories

What are your favorite book, tv, and/or movie love stories?

I have so many favorite love stories. For books, my favorite is Paradise by Judith McNaught. It is one of the best love stories I’ve read. The same goes for The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffrey Archer. These stories are about true love and how even though it is imperfect but because it is real, nothing can stop it from bringing two people together.

As for movies, the best one for me is still My Best Friend’s Wedding. I know the movie did not end happily for Julia Roberts. Still it showed that true love meant letting go of the person if it’s not meant to be and being happy for him.

WW: Weekend getaway

Maldives

Don’t you just love it if you can get away even for a day or two with your special someone? It will give you the R&R you need to recharge your mind and body for grueling days ahead.

And the perfect getaway destination is the beach!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Almost lost

The wedding accessories almost got lost in transit! That’s what Diane was telling her maid of honor. She asked another friend to get her the accessories and bring it with her three days before the wedding. Her friend was able to get the accessories but for some reason forgot about it on the bus! Thank goodness there are still good samaritans out there.

The wedding accessories were returned to Diane because of the address on the voucher attached to the bag containing it. If it weren’t for that, the accessories would have been lost.

So hard to do!

Looking good and slim is so hard to do! You can starve yourself all you want but if it’s in your genes, it’s just so hard to maintain a slim figure. I should know! My aunt who was known for being the skinny one in my dad’s family has finally become a member of the family! She is now overweight just like the rest of dad’s siblings. And to think that she’s more figure-conscious than the rest.

A friend of hers suggested phentermine to her and she’s asking me about it. I will have to make some more research about it and then I will report it back to her.

She absolutely needs to lose weight these days.

New look

Do you like my blog’s new look? I have been deciding for weeks on what this blog’s new look would be. Thank goodness for a blogger-friend who helped me get a new WordPress theme for Solitude.

Lately, it’s been hard to find a WordPress theme that I like and has not much links at the footer. So when I learned that my blogger-friend is offering a simple template that I can use with the background of my choice, I grabbed the opportunity. And here’s the result!

Do you like it? Tell me what you think.

Scrapbook of vacation photos

I arranged out photos in the computer and chose some that I will bring to the color printing store nearby. The photos are mostly that of us in the vacations we went to for the past four years. I want to create a scrapbook of the vacations we took. I want to make it like a coffee table book that we can display in the living room for visitors to see.

There were far and few between vacations back when we were kids. So the ones that we go to now that we’re grown-ups are extra special to us.
